new climbing daypack to replace the two i've been switching back and forth between, neither of which were all that hot.

mostly made of 1000D PU coated cordura. shaped closed cell shoulder straps and metal triglide closure, with lots and lots of bartacking so the shoulder straps are reliable haul points.

dedicated guidebook/route beta pocket. i was sick of digging around in the pack to get a guidebook out again and again.

top pocket with small compartment opening to outside, with water-resistant zipper and zipper hood. room for a couple clif bars, a headlamp, and a small first aid kit.

main compartment opens to back, with zipper protected from chimneys and whatnot. also water-res zipper, double-pull so one can fail and i won't be hosed, big enough compartment to carry shoes, a liter of water, and a shell.

10 additional grosgrain attachment loops around periphery, to add shockcord webbing if necessary to add more capacity to bag, or attach things, or other improvisations. one more attachment loop at the guidebook pocket to attach guidebook/beta. 10.5 oz.
