Elm City Elm

Elm, finished with linseed oil. This bowl has
particular sentimental value for me. I've lived in
New Haven, the Elm City, for four years now, and
love the city dearly. New Haven's elm designation is
for the enormous ancient elms that once shaded the city.
However, they are all slowly dying as the Dutch Elm
disease cripples them. This bowl, and a few others, are
turned from a log I rescued from the woodchipper, a
reminder of the majestic elms, and of New Haven.
