Tom Grundy's New Years 2007/8 in Boston Page
I have been visiting my sister in Needham this month, and Anthony suggested we meet up to go downtown and wander around taking photos and watching fireworks, etc. etc. (the original plan of canoeing into the bay was abandoned due to cold weather and the fact that Anthony didn't want to risk getting arrested again). We headed downtown on the free T (although we did have to wait a few minutes before it actually was free), and then wandered around fairly cluelessly and lost looking at ice sculptures, performers, buildings, people, and anything else that interested us. Eventually we wandered down to the waterfront where we sat around taking more pictures and waited for the fireworks. I got a chance to play around with the longer exposures on my new camera (see images below). After that we headed back to the overcrowded T. I went back to the 'burbs, and the A train took the red line back to Cambridge. A good time was had by all I think, although there were some cold fingers.
